The Independent Security Advisors Training Division a look back and moving forward.

With the first half of 2018 almost behind us, we have looked back and taken stock of our failures and accomplishments so far and we’re pleased with our team’s efforts overall.

We have conducted multiple training programs, written or developed new lesson plans and curriculums approved and or accredited by state regulatory agencies, and we have added staff and SME’s to our programs. In all a very productive first half especially when you consider we conducted training hosted by George Mason University and sponsored by Red Five Security, both a first for ISA. And just today we announced we have an agreement with Montgomery Community College and the North Carolina Public Safety Drone Academy.

We had SMEs on executive protection, terrorism, electronic surveillance, drones, secure transportation and drivers training, as well as guest speakers from Europe and the US, visit in person or call in via Skype. And students have come from the military, law enforcement, and private security or investigations.

But to stay successful ISA is looking to expand and join with new partners to host our mobile training teams and additional vendors willing to demonstrate and offer EP related clothing and equipment to our students and alumni.

With dates in August-October 2018 currently available for open enrollment seminars and courses we can conduct a program nationally, and so we can fill requests for training from specific private and government clients we also looking at the Metro DC region and around Boston Massachusetts.

Our current training partners and locations are exceptional, and we always have great feedback from our students when we conduct a program from these sites. But many of them are restricted to current or former law enforcement and the military, and others limit the number of “outsiders” into their facilities, while others are educational institutions with limited classroom hours. So to open training opportunities to non-law enforcement we are looking for classroom space with additional commercial partners or hosts. It’s easy to just schedule classes from our main classroom and hope students can come to us, but what good is a mobile training team that is not mobile?  Not every agency, department or student has the budget for flights, hotels and other expenses required to come to us.

So if your organization or company is interested in hosting a class or showing off the latest in EP related equipment please reach out and let’s see if we can coordinate something.  A list of our current programs is available online at https://www.eptraining.us/courses-master-list/   but we can customize a program for your specific needs and joint programs are always considered.

Hope to work with you in the second half of 2018.
