Support our Community Program: What started as the ISA Give Back Program, a student referral plan in which donations were made to charity for every student a graduate referred to a future class, has evolved into the current ISA Support Our Community Program. https://www.eptraining.us/isa-executive-protection-class-gives-back-in-charitable-donation-program/blog/
As with every ISA training program, a portion of the tuition and the primary instructor’s salary is given to support a local charitable program in the name of the students, cadre, guests, and role players. The graduates, hosting agencies, and sponsors are asked to select those charities. This class chose two charities.
But for class 111-25, which graduated on November 2nd in Hyattsville, Maryland, hosted by the Maryland Park Police Prince George County Division, this donation was highly personal.
Independent Security Advisors & EPtraining.us are honored to announce that the ISA Support our Community Program has, on behalf of the graduates, instructors, and cadre of EP class 111-25, donated to the Children’s National Hospital Foundation and Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation.
One of our graduates, and now a member of the ISA family has a child currently being treated for cancer, so the class decided, “how could we not” donate to an organization directly helping this child. There was no debate; the decision to support one of their own was unanimous.
The second charity nominated and selected is of great personal importance because, obviously, it holds significant meaning for the graduate to have nominated it. But unknown to the graduate, this also means something to the ISA CEO, who has lost family to Alzheimer’s.
“Both my grandmother and my mother lost fights to Alzheimer’s”, “so given this opportunity to support this graduate’s charity, well, there was never going to be a question.” Matthew Parker, ISA CEO
Support our Community Program: Who they helped?

Children’s National Hospital, based in Washington, D.C., more than 150 years of pediatric care, research and commitment to the community. Volunteers opened the hospital in 1870 with 12 beds for children displaced after the Civil War.
Today, it is among the nation’s top 10 children’s hospitals and Children’s National is transforming pediatric medicine for all children.
This pediatric academic health system offers expert care through a convenient, community-based primary care network and specialty care locations in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area, including Maryland and Northern Virginia. It is recognized for its expertise and innovation in pediatric care and as a strong voice for children through advocacy at the local, regional and national levels.

The mission of the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation is to rapidly accelerate the development of drugs to prevent, treat and cure Alzheimer’s disease.
Founded in 1998 by Leonard A. and Ronald S. Lauder, the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation (ADDF) is the only charity solely focused on finding drugs for Alzheimer’s.
Through the tremendous support of our donors, the ADDF has awarded more than $370 million to over 765 Alzheimer’s drug discovery programs, biomarker programs, and clinical trials in 21 countries. The ADDF focuses on translating the knowledge we have gained about the causes of Alzheimer’s disease – known as the “biology of aging” – into drugs to conquer it. Today, Alzheimer’s disease affects more than 50 million people worldwide.

This outstanding group of graduates and the ISA Support our Community Program will make a difference in the life of children and their families. Especially one special child and new ISA family member. And while we are proud of the students academic accomplishments, we are honored to be able to help with finding drugs for Alzheimer’s.
Of course, not surprised, this group of 24 students who learned to save a life, protect a life and do it without thinking about themselves.
Congratulations class 111-25
