Anyone who knows us understands that we live for Christmas and the holiday season. We usually close all educational programs from Thanksgiving to New Year’s. But this year, both a corporate EP provider and government employees asked us to conduct this training course in December. The MGM National Harbor Resort security department will host training from its facility in Oxon Hill, Maryland, across the river from Washington, DC, and Virginia.

With the recent government shutdown, many people were without an income and exploring new career fields due to layoffs and forced retirements. With executive protection being one of the growing career fields in the DMV region. So, how do you say no-‘I’m sorry, it’s Christmas’-when those looking at the EP industry can get the state license they need to be employed?

With that in mind, this course will also act as a transitional training program for federal and state law enforcement and military personnel entering the private sector. As one of the most thoroughly vetted and accredited private sector EP training programs available, we will work with our partners and program sponsors to train those who will provide or support dignitary/executive protective service operations in the public safety and private security sectors.

We are well-suited for this task. The ISA Dignitary and Executive Protection Training Program was initially created for law enforcement personnel assigned to provide close/executive protection to public officials after the 2011 attempted assassination of U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords. However, hiring managers and corporate executive protection teams recommended changes to the syllabus to ensure our private sector students gain the education, training, and skills to understand and mitigate scenarios like the December 2024 assassination of UnitedHealth executive Brian Thompson.

State Licensing & Private Sector Recognition: The ISA Dignitary and Executive Protection Program has been submitted for third-party audit and validation to law enforcement agencies, private sector EP programs, and educational institutions for state accreditation. We are honored that the International Foundation of Protection Officers endorses this course.
** Graduates meet the Virginia DCJS PPS Credentials and North Carolina EP license requirements, and may receive 12 CEUs by the NCPPSB.

Tuition: Seven-day Program

Special veteran and law enforcement tuition rate $1150.00

IFPO members receive a $1000.00 tuition reduction for attending this course. The $1,300.00 tuition rate is available to all IFPO members in good standing. Additional tuition rates are also available for groups and veterans.
