About the speaker: Nicholas Clarke the primary discussion facilitator is a seasoned professional with over 10 years of experience in the military, 5 years in law enforcement, and many more years in commercial security, so he brings that background to this discussion.
Mr. Clarke is a certified Personal Protection Officer who in 2002 following the attacks of September 11th, enlisted in the United States Air Force as a member of the Air Force Security Forces where he worked as a military police officer and physical site security specialist.
Following an Honorable Discharge, Mr. Clarke began work as a Security Officer in early 2007 for Progress Energy at the corporate headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina. Later in early 2008, Mr. Clarke joined the Durham Police Department in North Carolina.
During his five and half years at the police department, Mr. Clarke was selected to serve the department as Police Training Officer where he successfully trained junior police officers to become valued and productive members of the police department.
Mr. Clarke is currently enrolled with Henley-Putnam School of Strategic Security pursuing a bachelor’s degree for Strategic Security and Protection Management. He also holds current certifications in CPR/AED/First Aid, Texas Level III Commissioned Security Officer, Level IV Personal Protection Officer, and a current Texas License to carry permit which covers both open and concealed carry of firearms that is reciprocal with 38 states.
