DESCRIPTION:EPtraining.us and ISA Executive Protection Training Program \n\nExecutive Protection Training \n5/6/2026 \n \n \n We are honored to announce the MGM National Harbor Resort security department will host training from its facility in Oxon Hill\, Maryland\, across the river from Washington\, DC\, and Virginia. This is significant because the location allows students from federal\, state\, and local law enforcement and the private sector to attend.  \n  \n With the recent government shutdown\, many people were without income and exploring new career fields due to layoffs and forced retirements. With that in mind\, this course may serve as a transitional training program for federal and state law enforcement and military personnel entering the private sector.   \nAs one of the most thoroughly vetted and accredited private-sector EP training programs available\, we will work with our partners and program sponsors to train those who will provide or support dignitary/executive protective services operations in the public safety and private security sectors. \n \nWe are well-suited for this task. The ISA Dignitary and Executive Protection Training Program was initially created for law enforcement personnel assigned to provide close/executive protection to public officials after the 2011 attempted assassination of U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords.  \n  \n However\, hiring managers and corporate executive protection teams recommended changes to the syllabus to ensure our private-sector students gain the education\, training\, and skills to understand and mitigate scenarios such as the December 2024 assassination of UnitedHealth executive Brian Thompson. \n \n\nState Licensing & Private Sector Recognition: The ISA Dignitary and Executive Protection Program has been submitted for third-party audit and validation to law enforcement agencies\, private sector EP programs\, and educational institutions for state accreditation. So we are honored that the International Foundation of Protection Officers endorses this course.\n** Graduates meet the Virginia DCJS PPS Credentials and North Carolina EP license requirements\, and may receive 12 CEUs by the NCPPSB. \n \n \n \n\nThis Executive Protection Specialist Program is fully accredited and approved for in-service credits for law enforcement by the following agencies:\nMaryland Police & Corrections Training Commission \nVirginia Department of Criminal Justice\nSouth Carolina Criminal Justice Academy\nGeorgia and North Dakota POST\nNorth Carolina PPSB EP License as well as (accepted as part of an officer’s permanent record by the North Carolina Department of Public Safety) \n\n \n(7 Days & up to 84 hrs.)\nTotal 27 Course Categories \nWho Should Attend: The curriculum is tailored for officers\, deputies\, state troopers\, and private security sector employees who provide close protection to public officials\, candidates for office\, corporate executives\, and others designated as “at risk.” \n\nMandatory Medical Training Certification\n \n**This course includes CPR\, Stop Bleed\, and Basic First Aid.   \n ISA instructors will provide this training not only to registered students of this EP course but also to those who need to recertify their basic medical certification. For executive protection agents\, this basic level of medical training is critical and required by the North Carolina PPSB and Virginia DCJS PPS 32E programs.  \n\nStandards & Regulatory Requirements\n Note: This course prepares students to provide close protective services in accordance with all applicable international\, federal\, state\, and local laws and regulations\, meeting or exceeding the training and course hours required by the federal law enforcement training center and individual state-approved programs. \nFLETA: This course voluntarily adheres to the regulatory requirements of the 2020 Edition FLETA  Procedures and Standards manual. \nOther regulatory agencies and requirements include the Virginia Register of Regulations\, the North Carolina Private Protective Services Board\, the North Carolina Department of Protective Services\, Georgia POST\, the South Carolina Department of Criminal Justice\, and the Maryland Police Training Commission. \n\nAttendance: \nPlease review the syllabus for the requirements to attend https://www.eptraining.us/executive-protection-training-syllabus/  and contact us with any questions at 315-486-7854\, Monday through Friday\, 9 am – 7 pm\, or Saturday\, 10 am – 3 pm. \n\n Tuition: Seven-day Program\n Special veteran and law enforcement tuition rate $1150.00 \n  \nIFPO members receive a $1000.00 tuition reduction for attending this course.
